Narrative: HOSTAGE TAKING BANK ROBBERCOMMITS SECOND ARMED ROBBERY The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who has robbed two area banks this month, in both cases placing a handgun directly to the head of a bank employee while demanding cash from the other employees. On September 10, at about 10:25 a.m., the robber entered the Comerica Bank at 1503 Eldridge Parkway in Houston, pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and placed it to the head of a female teller. Taking her hostage, he instructed other employees to place cash into a black bag. The robber threatened to shoot the teller if his demands were not complied with. He fled on foot once the cash was handed over. On September 23, at about 2:00 p.m., the same man entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 3747 Westheimer in Houston, immediately grabbed a male employee and placed a semi-automatic pistol to his head while instructing other employees to place their cash into a black bag. He fled the bank on foot. The robber is described as a Hispanic male, 29-35 years old, 5’11’ to 6’01” tall, large build, 210-240 pounds, with a shaved head. He wore sunglasses, a yellow or cream colored short sleeve button down shirt, and dark slacks. He appears to have worn the same clothing in both bank robberies. Some witnesses observed a burn scar on his left wrist. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this bank robber or any felony suspect.
