At approximately 10:10 a.m. this morning, the “Cue Card Robber” entered the Compass Bank at 204 West 19th Street in the Heights area of Houston. He approached the teller counter and took out a piece of cardboard, which he unfolded and held up to the teller. The message on the cardboard read “This is a robbery give me the money” (sic). As he held up his robbery cue card for the teller, the robber warned that he had a pistol. He then handed over a white plastic grocery bag and instructed the teller to place the money in the bag.
